Bhalwal Tehsil (Punjabi,) is a subdivision (tehsil) of Sargodha District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is administratively subdivided into 53 union councils, four of which form the tehsil capital Bhalwal.〔(Tehsils & Unions in the District of Sargodha - Government of Pakistan )〕 Population is 820,000 (1998) being mainly Muslim and Punjabi speaking. The boundaries of the tehsil are marked by the Jhelum River and the Chenab River. According to the 2008 census, the total population of the tehsil was 1,056,600. == Administration == The tehsil is administratively subdivided into the following union councils:〔 Deowal is a village 7 km from Bhalwal City, linked by roads to several neighboring villages (e.g., Kotmoman, Lilyani, Salam, and Chak #4 NB). A boys' high school, girls' middle school, and a basic health unit are active in Deowal. Recently Sui Gas facility was also provided to the people of this village.
